HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa made history in September 2024, claiming his second consecutive FEI Senior Endurance World Championship title in Monpazier, France. Riding Everest la Majorie over the gruelling 160 km CEI 3-star course in 8 hours and 32 minutes, Sheikh Nasser became only the second rider in history to win back-to-back senior world titles, cementing Bahrain's status as a global force in equestrian endurance.

HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has led Bahrain's equestrian program since 2004, claiming four FEI World Championship gold medals. In 2025 he received the FEI Gold Badge of Honour - the federation's highest individual accolade.
A competitive endurance rider and accomplished coach, Jaafar Merza has guided the Royal Endurance Team at the FEI World Championship, Royal Windsor Endurance Festival, and multiple international events. His technical expertise and dedication have been instrumental in Bahrain's rise to the top of world endurance racing.
